1. Introduction

Note: Сlick the “Apply” button in order to apply any changes.  

1.1. Go to your WordPress Admin Dashboard and find the menu on the left.

1.2. Go to the “User Role” > “Roles” on your dashboard.

1.3. The “Roles” page will open.

2. Roles

Use the options of the “Roles” page to manage the user roles for the WordPress website.

2.1. Edit User Role Capabilities

Click the “Edit” button to change the user role permissions.

2.1.1. Choose the necessary capabilities for the appropriate user from the given list.

2.1.2. Click the “Update” button to confirm and apply any changes.

 

2.2. Reset User Role Capabilities

Click the “Reset” button to reset the default user role permissions.

2.3. Recover User Role Capabilities

Click the “Recover” button to recover the selected user role.

2.4. Delete User Role

Note: You can not delete the default WordPress User Roles .  

Click the “Delete” button to delete the selected user role.

3. Add New Role

Use the options of the “Add New” page to add a new user role to the website. Click the “Add New” button.

3.1. Role Name

Enter the “Role Name” into the appropriate text field.

3.2. Role Slug

The “Role Slug” field will be automatically filled after you enter the “Role Name, but you can enter the desired value into the text field. Slug must contain only latin letters. Also You can add numbers and symbols "-" or "_".

3.3. Capabilities

Use the “Capabilities” list to configure the capability of the appropriate user role.

3.3.1. All

Enable the “All” to give the user permission to all capabilities.

3.3.2. Access to Plugins (Menu Items)

Enable the “Access to Plugins (menu items)” to give the user role permission for menu items.

3.3.3. Actions with Plugins

Enable the “Actions with Plugins” to give the user role permission for plugin-connected actions.

3.3.4. Actions with Users

Enable the “Actions with users” to give the user role permission for actions with users.

3.3.5. Actions with Themes

Enable the “Actions with Themes” to give the user role permission for themes-connected actions.

3.3.6. Actions with Pages

Enable the “Actions with Pages” to give the user role access to pages-connected actions.

3.3.7. Actions with Posts

Enable the “Actions with Posts” to set the ability for the user role to work with posts.

3.3.8. Other Default Actions

Enable the “Other Default Actions” to set the other appropriate actions for the user role.

3.3.9. Other Custom Actions

Enable the “Other Custom Actions” to set the capabilities generated by actions of installed plugins.

3.4 Add Role

Click the “Add New” button to add a new user role.

4. Settings

Use the “Settings” page to set up the option regarding Miscellaneous tab, and license settings.

4.1. Miscellaneous Settings

Use the options of the “Miscellaneous Settings” tab to enable the “Track Usage” option.

4.1.1. Track Usage

Enable the “Track Usage” option to allow tracking plugin usage anonymously.

4.2. License Key

Use the “License Key” tab to activate or check the Pro plugin license.

4.2.1. Pro License

After a successful plugin purchase, you will receive an email notification with a download link and a license key. Activate Pro license by pasting a license key into the “User Role Pro License” field and clicking the “Save Changes” button.


4.2.3. Check License Key

To check the license key, click the “Check license key” button. If the entered key is correct, the notification “The license key is valid. Your license will expire on XXXX-XX-XX” will be displayed in the upper left corner of the page.

4.2.3.  Manage License Settings

Use the “Manage License Settings” option to change your license settings. Click the “Login to Client Area” button to open your personal Client Area dashboard located on the https://bestwebsoft.com/ website. Browse and download purchased products, change the license domain and copy the license keys.
