When people like and/or leave comments to my post, will this be displayed on my Facebook page?

No, it will not. The case is, Like for a WordPress site is a Like of a certain URL, but not the page content, while on Facebook it’s Like of the content, not the URL. I.e. these are two different things, and it is impossible to link them.
For more data on the Like button, please check the developers’ page – https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button.

I checked the “Like for the entire site” option on the plugin settings page, but I do not see the button that would let me do so.

Please note that “Like for the entire site” option does not create an extra button. This option merely allows your users to like the entire website when this option is enabled, or a single post when this option is disabled, when clicking the regular “Like” button.

I have some problems with the plugin’s work. What Information should I provide to receive proper support?

Please make sure that the problem hasn’t been discussed yet on our forum (http://support.bestwebsoft.com). If no, please provide the following data along with your problem’s description:

  1. 1. the link to the page where the problem occurs
  2. 2. the name of the plugin and its version. If you are using a pro version – your order number.

We have had the FB like button on our pages and blogs for several months and all the sudden they are all gone. when I was investigating the issue on wordpress I saw the note that its time to purchase the pro version. Is the free download no longer free to us? where did all of our likes go?

      Hi Kelly,

“It’s time to upgrade your Facebook Like Button to PRO version!” – it is a banner informing you of the possibility to go pro, which advantages you can find here http://bestwebsoft.com/plugin/facebook-like-button-pro it could not affect the work of your plugin.
Currently the button is not displayed and we cannot see the number of likes.
If the problem is in the button displaying – go to the plugin settings page and in the Html tag for Like Button: block switch for

and check if the button will be displayed.
If the problem was in the number of likes and you deactivated the plugin, there could be some problems on Facebook. Please activate the plugin and check.
You can also check the number of likes the following way:

Copy your post URL in the address line, go to https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button/ and paste your link to “URL to like”.
Remove focus from the field by clicking outside the “URL to like” filed.
You will see the number of likes.

      Sincerely

Hi, I can not see the Facebook button in my Home page.

With page builder I have create a Gallery/Portfolio on my home page, which shows the FB button perfect in the Portfolio’s Gallery. How to implement this button standard on my Home page or in the footer?!

Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Kind regards, Andy

      Hi Andy,

In order to add the Like button on the home page http://andylubertinaturephotography.nl/, it is necessary to add the following strings to the correct place in thr source code of the file responsible for generating this page:

      < ?php if ( function_exists( 'fcbkbttn_shortcode' ) ) echo fcbkbttn_shortcode(''); ?>

      Sincerely

I just noticed that the likes don’t increase across all the pages where the button exists. It seems to function independently of FB as well as the site pages. Something must not be set correctly in the admin. Furthermore, this button should be associated with the existing FB likes.

    • Anna said:

      Hi Edwin,

That’s right, the plugin displays the Like button on each page/post. When clicked, the Like is given to this very page/post. The functionality to display Likes to your page on FB is not available, as well as as the opportunity to increase this number by clicking on pages/posts of your site, but if you want you can order a paid customization and provide details.

      Sincerely

I like the button. Was wondering if the current FB likes could be displayed.
